Why is McMechen a great place to live and raise a family?

Growing up in a small town has so many advantages, and being able to easily travel to any of several large cities is a great added "plus" to our location. McMechen is nestled in the beautiful hills in the northern panhandle of West Virginia, along the Ohio River. There is a great public school system, along with local private and parochial schools. The local hospitals are among the best in the area. There's plenty of shopping and recreation in the valley too, and again, close to bigger cities like Pittsburgh and Columbus. We really have the best of both worlds here.
